Julia Harriman Julia Harriman Julia Harriman

Biography

Julia Harriman's singing is a modern-day fusion of Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, Adele, sultry R&B, and genre-bending musical influences which serve up a swampy, soul-driven brew of contemporary joy. Singing and writing since she could speak, Julia began playing piano at age five, but soon thereafter fell in love with the guitar. Julia's worldwide performances include her debut at fourteen years of age in the premier cast of the musical "13", recent collaborations with Grammy Award winner Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Michael Jackson), Selena Gomez, Matthew Wilder (No Doubt), and varied vocal performances for NBC and Disney. This current collection of recordings has recently attracted international attention, and features Julia's unique songwriting and singing, which defy categorization.

Being the daughter of a music composer, Julia spent most of her childhood sitting under her father's piano making up words and tunes to her father's songs. With the love and support from her family, and the knowledge and help they provided Julia was able to take her interest in music and make it her career.
