Biography

Phil Bennetts is a British composer specialising in piano-led scores. Since being awarded runner-up in Sibelius' Young Film Composer Competition he has written original scores to numerous short films and theatre productions as well as library music, with syncs including BBC's The One Show (5 million viewers).

In 2014 Phil was one of the winners of the Oticons International Film Composer Competition, as judged by a panel including 4 oscar winning composers. As a pianist, Phil has given recitals internationally, notably at Imagines II academic conference at the University of Barcelona. He has also previously played with rock band Welcome To Marathon performing at British music festivals and on BBC Radio.
