Biography
Russ Makiwicz started composing soundtracks in 2008, and has since created music and sound design for a variety of TV commercials, short film, documentaries, radio jingles and interactive museum soundtracks.
In his music, Russ combines his love of all things orchestral, with a certain affinity for the intimate, authentic expression of folk music, and a curious search for new electronic sounds. Having started out as a self taught film composer, in 2014 he earned a 'Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV' at Berklee Online, as well as the Berklee Online Celebrity Scholarship Award.

Working as a freelance composer for Somesound, Kwarszi Music and Machinimasound, his clients have included The Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Leo Pharma, Tuborg, The Danish Castle Center, Velfac, Copenhagen Fashionweek and The National Film School of Denmark.
